Celebrating Our Clients’ Success: A Year in Review

1coin_ornamentRight Turn-IMPACT is approaching our first anniversary on May 26, 2014. As most of you know, I assumed 100% ownership of the Former Right Turn of Maryland and am now the President/CEO of the organization. I am very pleased to report that in the 30-plus years I have been in and around treatment programs and recovery, I have NEVER seen a program where so many clients are staying clean, embracing the recovery lifestyle and achieving such amazing success. Our relentless effort at Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) has created the kind of program where you would be comfortable sending your loved ones if they ever needed help for an alcohol/drug problem. WE DO RECOVER!

In the past year, not only have we re-established ourselves as the leading, most effective drug/alcohol treatment/recovery program in the eyes of most Maryland judges, attorneys, prosecutors and families, but most importantly we have established ourselves as one of the most effective recovery programs in the country as evidenced by the tremendous success of our clients. We measure our success by our clients’ success. The percentage of individuals who remain clean after completing our program is AMZAZING! And we offer one of the most affordable treatment/recovery programs in the mid-Atlantic region.

I want to thank everyone who has supported our efforts. We worked diligently through many challenges and overcame many obstacles. I give all credit to our amazing staff, clients and volunteers. A former surveyor from Office of Health Care Quality (OHCQ) helped us re-design our program with the appropriate certifications and licensing through DHMH/ADAA/OHCQ. We also hired an amazing new clinical director, the former Clinical Director/Program Director at Second Genesis, who helped us improve the quality of our treatment program. Under our new Operations Manager Jeremy Savin, we assembled an incredible team of counselors, support staff, program techs, administrative staff and volunteers who help round out our team. And finally, Hannah Caron, our Director of Court Operations, is professional, passionate and dedicated while working closely with judges, lawyers, prosecutors and clients helping formulate realistic, effective recovery plans that work. We have created a work culture where we love what we do, we love the people we get to work with and we love our clients.

I operate under the simple philosophy that together we can do things that we could never do alone. Concerning policy, procedures, programming, facility, operations, food, sleeping conditions, etc.: If it’s not good enough for my own family, then it’s not good enough for our clients. I am amazed, thankful and extremely grateful to have the opportunity to lead such an amazing team. Thank you again kindly for the tremendous support, encouragement and guidance.
