Ambulatory Detox

Often, substance use disorder (SUD) treatment begins with a period of detoxification due to the person becoming physically dependent on alcohol and or drugs. A chemically dependent individual will go through significant physical and emotional discomfort as they start to go through withdrawal. Withdrawal from some substances such as alcohol and benzodiazepine medications must be medically managed to prevent seizures and possible death.

At RTI, we are committed to client safety and believe clients going through withdrawal do not need to endure unnecessary suffering. Our Medical Director specializes in addiction medicine and provides safe, effective detox treatment to clients meeting the medical criteria for Ambulatory Detox. Clients needing a higher level of medical care are transported to Carrol hospital to receive treatment and return to RTI upon discharge.
